Interesting fact:
In January 2004 the author’s edition of 15 books in etui with gold-plated medal “President of the Slovak Republic Rudolf Schuster” was dedicated by its author Peter Solej to His Excellency Rudolf Schuster, the President of the Slovak Republic as a present to his life jubilee - seventieth birthday.

The second specialized book by Peter Solej presents an overview of gold and silver medallic embossings, which had been minted predominantly by the state mint in Kremnica during the first ten years of the modern independent Slovak Republic.

The content of the book is comprised of technical and visual information about individual medals which are presented both in the Slovak and English language.

The final chapter of the book is dedicated to a gallery of authors, where the readers can get acquainted with the authors of artistic and thematic designs of modern Slovak medallic embossing, their picture and basic biographical data, as well as their authorship signature.

Presentation of the book
The book was officially presented on 29 November 2002 in the Hall of the Kremnica City Council 9 months after the editing of Peter Solej’s first book.

The book was brought to life by a symbolic christening with champagne by Mr. Jozef Stank, the Director of the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic, His Excellency Mr. Rudolf Schuster, together with Mrs. Regina Ovesny-Straka, the President and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Slovak Association of Banks and the Director General of Slovenská sporiteľna, a.s.

The presentation of the book, which was followed by a reception in the hotel Central in Kremica, was attended by 90 invited guests. The guests included representative of the Office of the President, the Mayor of Kremncia, Mr. Miroslav Nárožný, representatives of the Kremnica Mint as well as the National Bank of Slovakia, representatives of the Slovak commercial banks or medal collectors together with the former Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Jozef Migaš.

Peter Solej was selling the book to invited guests for a voluntary contribution, while the money from the sale in the amount of SKK 43 000 was donated for the restoration of an iconostasis and a historical altar located in the Greek Catholic Church of St. Bazil Veľký in Medzilaborce, the oldest building in town.

On the above altar, consecrated in October 2003 by His Grace Vladyka Milan Chautur, the Greek Catholic Apostolic Exharch of Košice, a bloodless sacrifice used to be brought here in the past by the blessed Bishop - martyr Pavol Peter Gojdič.
The reception in the hotel Central began with the cutting of the cake, which was in the shape of the book, by its “god parents”
The youngest author of the specialized literature in Slovakia during the autograph session of his second book

The former Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Jozef Migaš, also purchased the book for the voluntary price

Interesting fact:

In February 2006, the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered the books to embassies of Slovakia in order to potentially promote the country abroad.
