Presentation of the book

Presentation of the representative book “Slovak Crown 1993 - 2008” took place in the Bon Bon Hotel**** on Wednesday December 3, 2008 with personal participation of the first Slovak President HE Mr Michal Kováč and his spouse, ambassadors and diplomats from nine countries, and several personalities of the Slovak social life.

The publication was introduced into life by the President of the Slovak Constitutional Court Mrs Ivetta Macejkova. In a symbolic ceremony, she sprinkled the book with the Slovak one-crown coins.

Presentation of the book was accompanied with a concert of a prominent vocal group Close Harmony Friends. After the presentation, the guests could buy the book for a discretional price. The yields from the sales in the amount of SKK 40,000 will be used to promote charitable activities of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta in Slovakia.

President of the Constitutional Court Mrs Ivetta Macejková expressed her pleasure to introduce a book which she considers to be a unique project in the time of the Slovakia’s entry into the Eurozone.

President of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic Ivetta Macejková introduced the book into life and sprinkled it with the Slovak one-crown coins.
Author of the book expressed his thanks to madam President with flowers and presented her with the icon of Saint Constantine and Method made of bee wax and thyme by a monk on the Holy Mount of Athos. Portraits of these Slav Apostles are on the front side of the Slovak fifty-crown banknote, the first Slovak banknote introduced into cash circulation fifteen years ago.
Presentation of the book was embellished with an extraordinary art performance of excellent singers, members of the “a capella” vocal group Close Harmony Friends.
