Award:
The book was listed by the Ministry of Education and the National Institute
of Education as complementary literature for teachers of ethics education,
social studies, civic studies, history, economics and banking at Slovak
primary and secondary schools.
In terms of the content and theme, the fourth book the Slovak Money
by Peter Solej is connected to his first publication about the Slovak
currency.
The publication contains technical, descriptive and visual information
about the Slovak circulatory as well as commemorative coins and banknotes.
In this book, the author describes in detail security features and
thus provides the reader with almost all available information concerning
the banknote paper and related security features, printing techniques,
banknote graphics, color used for the printing and counterfeit banknotes.
The book contains relatively extensive information on the history of
money focusing particularly on Slovakia. In the book, Peter Solej writes
about the National Bank of Slovakia and does not leave out the information
on the competition for the most beautiful commemorative coin of the
10 years old history of the Slovak Republic.
In addition to the summary in four world languages, the book contains
a valuable contribution by Mr Marián Tkáč, who informs the reader as
to how the “Slovak money was being created.”
Presentation of the book
The official presentation of the book took place on 12 April 2005
in the restaurant Steam§Coffee of the Carlton Hotel in Bratislava.
Peter Solej connected the presentation with the celebration of his
18th birthday and the award of the first four Honorary Memberships
in the NAPS civic association.
