The event entitled Women in Charge took place on Tuesday, February the 26th 2008 in the auditorium of the Faculty of Economics of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.

Round table on the women’s status was opened by the host of the event Mrs Andrea Vadkerti, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Slovak-Czech Women Fund.

On behalf of the organisers the event was opened by Her Magnificence Mrs. Beata Kosová, Rector of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and Mr. Peter Solej, President of NAPS.
|

|

A 260 seat auditorium was really packed.
|
|
 |
The Slovak-Czech Women Fund, the professional partner of the event, was represented by the Director Mrs. Viera Klementova and the Member of the Board of Trustees Mrs. Andrea Vadkerti.
|
|
 |
Despite the fact that the President of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic Mrs. Ivetta Macejková was the first to present her speech she listened attentively to all speeches that followed.
|
|
 |
In her speech, Archduchess Christiana von Habsburg-Lothringen highlighted the role of a woman in the family.
|
|
 |
All good things are three! The third woman in charge was Mrs. Elena Kohútiková, an important banker in Slovakia and the former - first female Vice-Governor of the Slovak National Bank.
|
|
 |
Professor Beata Kosová, the first female Rector of the University in Slovakia, is certainly not a reserved teacher.
|
|
 |
Several opinions and questions were presented during the discussion. Mr. Árpád von Tarnóczy, the Honorary Knight of the Sovereign Order of the Knights of Malta, former Ambassador of the Slovak Republic, also joined the discussion.

At the end of the event, the ladies receiveda flower and a small gift from organisers to express their appreciation.
|
|
|
|

The reception began with the awarding of the NAPS Letters of Appreciation to key participants and sponsors by Peter Solej.
|
|
|
|
 |
The Letters of Appreciation were also awarded to the following sponsors: Mrs. Zita Zemková, Deputy Director General of OTP Banka Slovensko and Mrs. Renáta Kiselicová, Director General of CENTIRE Bratislava.
