Metropolitan of the Greek Catholic Church in Slovakia, Archbishop Ján Babjak SJ, has awarded NAPS founder Peter Solej the Golden Medal of Blessed Bishop Pavol Peter Gojdič. The award was presented at the end of an official lunch, given in honor of His Eminence Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, held at Archbishop’s Office in Prešov, and attended by several civic and ecclesiastic authorities.

Peter Solej has been awarded this high ecclesiastic decoration for his extraordinary contribution to promote ecumenism and unity among Christians by organizing the International Ecumenical Concerts.

„I totally didn’t expect it. I don’t deserve such an honor, because this high recognition belongs to many people who have been making NAPS activities success for 13 years. Blessed Pavol Peter, pray for us.,“ said Peter Solej after receiving the award.
